Join a leading independent technology and services provider as an IT Deployment Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Deployment Technician to support a site-based hardware refresh project in Crewe. This is a hands-on, on-site role involving laptop, monitor, and charging cabinet deployments, asset management, and site sign‑off in a secure environment.

  • Location: On-site – Crewe, CW1 2DP
  • Rate: £25.77 per hour (Umbrella) or £19.85 per hour (PAYE)
  • Contract Length: 1-day contract
  • Start Date: ASAP (Scheduled for 15 June 2026)
  • Working Hours: Monday, 09:00 – 17:30

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend site, check in with the Buyer’s site contact and central project team, and complete site induction (photo ID required).
  • Assess access routes and equipment storage areas for new and legacy hardware in line with floor plans.
  • Unbox, move, and deploy new laptops, monitors, stands, and charging cabinets to designated locations.
  • Decommission legacy laptops, AIOs, peripherals, and power supplies, relocating them to secure on-site storage.
  • Install new laptop PSUs, connect devices to Wi‑Fi, and complete laptop logon and configuration checks.
  • Update Inventox with asset details and deployment status for both new and legacy devices.
  • Support site testing with the Buyer, escalate hardware or physical connection issues, and complete site sign‑off with the central project team.

Key Requirements:
  • Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in IT deployment, hardware refresh, or deskside support roles.
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (mileage claimable).
  • Comfortable with manual handling of IT equipment and on-site installations.
  • Strong attention to detail for asset management and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with site and project teams.

Additional Information:
  • Interview Process: Single-stage, fast-turnaround interview (remote or phone-based).
  • Must be able to bring valid photo ID on the day.
