Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a technician 2.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and organised IT Deployment & Asset Support Technician to support a large‑scale Windows 11 device refresh programme. This role combines hands‑on device deployment, user support, and asset management. You’ll work closely with end users, engineers, and circular services teams to ensure smooth kit exchange, accurate data capture, and efficient stock handling.

Location: The Core, 40 St Thomas St, Redcliffe, Bristol
Daily Rate: £14.90/hr – PAYE, £19.34/hr – UMB
Contract Length: 27th April 2026 till 8Th May 2026

Key Responsibilities:
Device Deployment & User Support
  • Guide users through the automated Windows 11 build process using a scripted workflow.
  • Act as the first point of support during device deployment, escalating to engineers when required.
  • Direct users to the correct incident management channels if issues arise with new devices.
  • Ensure all devices are built, configured, and ready for handover.
Kit Exchange & Logistics
  • Manage the daily exchange of customer‑owned devices, ensuring accurate sign‑off and documentation.
  • Receive, unpack, and store new kit in an organised and secure manner.
  • Collect legacy devices from users and coordinate with Circular Services for return to Braintree.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace for kit handling.
Asset Tracking & Data Management
  • Capture and update asset information accurately to feed into the Project Data Manager.
  • Track device serial numbers, user assignments, and lifecycle status.
  • Ensure all asset movements are logged in line with project governance.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Work collaboratively with onsite engineers, project managers, and logistics teams.
  • Communicate clearly with users to ensure a smooth and positive deployment experience.
  • Support daily operational planning, including stock levels and deployment schedules.

Key Requirements :
  • Experience in IT deployment, desktop support, or end‑user computing.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, automated build processes, and device imaging.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in asset tracking.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
  • Ability to follow structured scripts and deployment workflows.
