IT support technician role in Newcastle
Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and organised individual to act as the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for the PM and on-site customer representatives. The role involves coordinating desktop PC replacements, managing laptop handovers, and relocating legacy equipment as per customer instructions.
- Location: On-site – Newcastle
- Daily Rate: 14.54/hr on PAYE or 18.87/hr on UMB
- Contract Length: 2 Days
- Start Date: 05-Nov-25 to 06-Nov-2025
Key Responsibilities
- Act as SPoC for the PM and customer.
- Replace desktop and PC's following instructions provided by the PM and customer site contact.
- Collaborate with a Tech 1 where applicable to complete tasks efficiently.
- Hand over laptops to customer contact — no installation required.
- The PC's are being delivered either on a trolley (unboxed) or boxed.
- Relocate legacy desktops, laptops, and packaging to a designated location on-site as directed by the customer.
- Ensure all activities are completed within the scheduled work hours.
Key Requirements
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in desktop/laptop deployment or IT hardware handling.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or with a team.
- Comfortable working in customer-facing environments.
- Physically able to handle equipment and packaging.
- Flexible and punctual with a professional attitude.
