As a technician 2 to join our growing Configuration team, responsible for providing efficient IT configuration services. The ideal candidate will be competent at component level, self-sufficient, and able to manage workloads within set timelines.

We are seeking a customer-focused and technically skilled Tech Bar End User Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT support team at AZ Macclesfield. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, face-to-face technical support to end users via our Tech Bar and floor-walking services. You will be the first point of contact for IT-related issues, ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience.

Shift: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours) -
9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Location - Middlewood Court Silk Road Business Park - Macclesfield SK10 2NA
Contract Duration – 3 Months

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provide face-to-face technical support at the Tech Bar and through proactive floor-walking.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows 10, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
  • Support Lenovo desktop and laptop hardware, including setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Assist with Apple macOS and iOS support as needed.
  • Deploy and configure mobile devices, including using MS Intune.
  • Utilise enterprise tools such as Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, and remote-control technologies.
  • Support cloud storage solutions like OneDrive and Box.
  • Maintain awareness of client antivirus software and ensure compliance within the enterprise environment.
  • Update and maintain asset inventory records, contributing to effective asset management.
  • Use ServiceNow for incident logging, tracking, and resolution.
  • Collaborate with the wider IT support group to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Other stuff we’re potentially looking for:
  • Proven experience in face-to-face customer support within an IT environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with technical teams and end users.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in desktop support, particularly Windows 10 and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, and remote support tools.
  • Experience with Lenovo hardware and mobile device deployment.
  • Working knowledge of Apple macOS and iOS (desirable).
  • Experience with ServiceNow and similar ITSM platforms (desirable).
  • Understanding of cloud storage and antivirus solutions in enterprise settings.
  • Commitment to asset management and inventory accuracy.
