Job Overview:
- Role: Technician 2
- Location: Manchester
- Contract: 28th May’26 – 3rd July’26
- Pay Rates:
- Umbrella Rate: £19.33/hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).
- PAYE Basic Rate: £14.90/hour
- Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Monday – Friday.
- Time: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Duration: 5 weeks
*1 day Paid Online Induction to take place either 28th or 29th May – Work to begin on-site 1st June.
Purpose of the Role:To act as an on-site and virtual guide during the transition from Zoom to Microsoft Teams, helping colleagues understand new features, adopt best practices, and feel confident using Teams for collaboration and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Be proactive with a visible and approachable presence to answer questions (not technical troubleshooting).
- Deliver demos via Microsoft Teams both in person and for remote colleagues using pre-defined scripts and presentation decks
- Explain differences between Zoom and Teams (meeting setup, chat, collaboration tools)
- Share tips and best practices for effective use of teams
- Encourage engagement and confidence in using teams for daily work
- Record all assistance provided to colleagues
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams features and functionality
- Ability to communicate clearly and educate users in a friendly, non-technical way
- Familiarity with Zoom to explain migration differences
- Comfortable presenting and engaging with both in-person and remote audiences via Teams
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
