Technician 2 | HAYS | Glasgow

Join a leading independent technology and services provider as an IT Support Technician.

Job Overview:

We are looking to recruit an IT Support Technician who will be responsible for delivering high‑quality on-site technical support.

Location: 320 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow
Daily Rate: A per hour rate, in-scope IR35, of £14.90 /hr PAYE) OR £19.34/hr (via a Hays approved umbrella company)
Contract Duration: 3/9/2026 to 7/31/2026
Working Days : Monday to Friday onsite
Shifts : 9:00am to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Replace or upgrade components (HDD/SSD, RAM, screens, keyboards, batteries, etc.).
Escalate hardware warranty cases to vendor partners when required.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot approved software applications.
Support OS upgrades, patches, and system rebuilds.
Ensure compliance with software licencing and company standards.

Key Requirements:

Experience with Windows 10/11, M365, Active Directory, and hardware diagnostics tools.
Familiarity with SCCM/Intune for software deployment & imaging (desirable).
Knowledge of common enterprise applications and troubleshooting methods.

Ability to lift/handle IT equipment (monitors, desktops, peripherals).
Willingness to follow local site procedures and security protocols.
Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours or weekend work when needed.
