Job Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced Customer Engineer to support an onsite IT deployment project. The role involves end-to-end device lifecycle management including deployment, configuration, and support of laptops and peripheral equipment. Engineers will work collaboratively as part of a team of six to ensure seamless device refreshes and user onboarding across multiple sites.

- Location: Derby (Onsite)
- Daily Rate: 14.54/hr on PAYE or 18.87/hr on UMB
- Contract Length: 2 Months
- Start Date: 17-Nov-2025
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment, configuration, set up laptop unpack, 2 customer engineers are required on site.
- Perform device refresh tasks, perform device build and device wipe tasks.
- Provide device build completion updates to the Deployment Manager, Update the AMDB (Asset Management Database), configuration and support of equipment.
Key Requirements 
- Manage laptop and device handover to multiple users and sites
- Support printers, scanners, wireless, VPN, etc.
- IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change and Disposal (data wipe and end of life support)
- Provide onsite engineering support for clinic deployments
- Communicate deployment status
- Maintain system configurations and documentation
- Track and resolve incidents and requests through the client's ticketing tool • Support post-deployment monitoring, optimisation, and user feedback collection.
- Backup, restoration, and migration of user data
- Inventory management of IT assets including asset auditing
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to resolve complex issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer experience, ideally in a corporate environment
- Perform device pre-checks, validations, and report Dead on Arrival (DOA) or faulty devices
