Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Customer Engineer to join our client’s team on-site in Derby. You will be responsible for device deployment, configuration, and refresh activities, ensuring smooth IT operations and excellent user support during the project.
• Location: Derby DE24 9BD (On-site)
• Daily Rate: £18.87 per hour via umbrella OR £14.54 per hour PAYE
• Contract Length: 17-Nov-2025 to 02-Jan-2026

Key Responsibilities:
• Deployment, configuration, and setup of laptops and IT equipment
• Perform device refresh tasks, builds, and data wipes
• Update AMDB (Asset Management Database) and maintain accurate records
• Provide device build completion updates to the Deployment Manager
• Support printers, scanners, wireless, VPN, and other peripherals
• Backup, restoration, and migration of user data
• Inventory management and asset auditing

Key Requirements:
• Experience in IT deployment and configuration in a corporate environment
• Ability to manage laptop and device handovers across multiple users/sites
• Knowledge of IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change and disposal processes
• Familiarity with ticketing tools for incident and request tracking
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills for status updates and user interaction

• Interview Process: 1-stage interview with Deployment Manager
• Team: You will work alongside 5 other engineers
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
