Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tech2 Engineer to join our technical operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site deployment of new devices and the secure storage and management of legacy equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.

Location: Chilton: Harwell Campus, Didcot – Oxford
Daily Rate: £14.54/hr – PAYE, £18.87/hr – UMB
Contract Length: 08th December 2025 (One – Day Role)
Key Responsibilities
Device Deployment
- Install, configure, and test new hardware and software on-site.
- Ensure seamless integration of devices into existing infrastructure.
- Provide technical support during deployment to minimise downtime.
Legacy Device Management
- Safely decommission and store legacy devices according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of stored equipment.
- Ensure compliance with data security and disposal policies.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to coordinate deployment schedules.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and escalate when necessary.
- Document deployment processes and update technical manuals.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to health, safety, and security protocols during on-site work.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in hardware deployment, installation, and support.
- Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel for on-site assignments.
