About the role
Tech 2 – IT Deployment Lead serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for both the Project Manager and the Customer during onsite IT deployment activities. This role involves coordinating desktop PC replacements, managing Tech 1 support staff, and ensuring proper handover of laptops and legacy equipment. Tech 2 ensures all tasks are executed according to instructions provided by the PM and Customer site contact, maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the deployment process.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Location: Causeway, Regional Shopping Centre, Bristol
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Contract Duration: 03rd November 2025 & 04th November 2025
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary onsite liaison (SPoC) between the Project Manager and the Customer.
- Manage and collaborate with Tech 1 personnel to support deployment activities.
- Replace desktop PCs following detailed instructions provided by the PM and Customer site contact.
- Hand over laptops directly to the designated customer contact; no installation required.
- Handle delivery of PCs, whether boxed or unboxed on trolleys, and ensure correct placement onsite.
- Relocate legacy desktops and laptops to an agreed onsite location as directed by the customer.
- Dispose of packaging materials onsite in accordance with customer instructions.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution.
- Document and report progress, issues, and completion status as per project protocols.
Other stuff we’re potentially looking for:
- Proven experience in IT hardware deployment and desktop replacement.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage support staff.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with onsite logistics and handling of IT equipment.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to dynamic onsite environments.
- Professional demeanour and commitment to customer satisfaction.
