An IT support technician is required at the Birmingham location.

Job Overview: Support end-users during a major migration from Zoom to Microsoft Teams, providing deskside assistance, coaching, and troubleshooting. This role includes floorwalking support and collaboration with other technicians on-site.

  • Location: On-site – Birmingham
  • Daily Rate: 14.54/hr on PAYE or 18.87/hr on UMB
  • Contract Length: 5 months
  • Start Date: 29-Oct-25 to 27-Mar-26

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide deskside and floorwalking support during the migration from Zoom to Microsoft Teams.
  • Assist users with Teams functionalities: Setting up/joining meetings, calls, and chat, sharing and collaborating on documents in Teams, troubleshooting login or MFA issues, fixing Teams/Outlook calendar integration.
  • Resolve end-user issues (audio/video not working, connectivity problems, app crashes, sync errors).
  • End-user assistance, coaching, “how do I?” guidance, and adoption support following induction training delivered by QA trainers. Coach colleagues on “how do I?” questions (e.g. sharing screens, adjusting notifications, using the mobile app).
  • Direct users to self-serve resources and digital training content.
  • Capture recurring issues and knowledge gaps to feed back to the project team.
  • The resource will work in tandem with another technician floorwalking on site, and a local resource can be used.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams in a corporate environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Teams, Outlook, and general desktop issues.
  • Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with digital adoption and training resources.
  • Flexible to support during phased rollout and breaks in schedule.
