About the role
As a technician 2, we are seeking a proactive and security-cleared IT Support Engineer to manage hub-based operations across a designated region. The role involves ticket queue management, hardware triage, asset tracking, and disposal coordination, all in line with contractual service levels. The engineer will also support locker replenishments, liaise with vendors for warranty repairs, and contribute to service improvement initiatives. Flexibility for out-of-hours support and travel is essential.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Location: Abbey Wood – Bristol
Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13th October 2025 till 30th June 2026

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage support ticket queues for assigned Hub and surrounding spokes, ensuring timely updates and resolution in line with service level agreements.
  • Oversee Hub stock and asset management, including scanning equipment in/out of locations as per contract.
  • Coordinate and manage disposal of legacy equipment through the Hub in accordance with contractual procedures.
  • Triage and perform hardware repairs on in-warranty equipment; liaise with vendors for parts and returns.
  • Replenish IT lockers where required, maintaining availability of essential equipment.
  • Identify and escalate potential service issues or improvement opportunities for the Team Leader.
  • Provide support as part of the Out-of-Hours (OOH) rota and standby schedule.

Other stuff we’re potentially looking for:
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
  • UK National with a valid UK passport.
  • Must have a full clean driving licence.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a PC field service or workshop environment.
  • Accredited or willing to obtain relevant technical certifications.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware, asset management, and service desk operations.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
