About the role
The Redundant IT Kit Removal Engineer is responsible for conducting thorough floor walks to identify and remove all redundant IT equipment from designated branch sites. This includes packing equipment per position, adhering to strict safety protocols, and maintaining clear communication with the project team. The role requires readiness to work in active, decommissioned, or construction environments and a strong commitment to procedural compliance.

Our client is currently looking for a recruit to join their current team. Below are the job details for your reference:

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Location: 8 Market Place Cirencester, Gloucestershire
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Contract Duration: 13th November 2025

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a full floor walk of the branch to identify all redundant IT equipment.
  • Remove and pack redundant kit per position into designated storage boxes for site removal.
  • Ensure all packaging and equipment is handled safely and efficiently.
  • Wear full PPE at all times, especially on decommissioned or non-operational branches:
    1. Hard hat
    2. High-visibility jacket
    3. Steel-cap boots
    4. Goggles
    5. Gloves
    6. Nose mask
  • Review and understand all documentation provided via email prior to the site visit.
  • Carry and maintain a hard copy of the ‘Sign-off Sheet’ for onsite verification.
  • Notify the project team upon arrival and again upon completion of work (including in and out-of-hours tasks).
  • Adapt to site conditions, including those undergoing construction or not yet fully operational.

Other stuff we’re potentially looking for:
  • Experience in IT hardware handling, decommissioning, or site support.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Physical capability to handle and move equipment safely.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards, especially in high-risk environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
