About the role
The De-Install Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient removal of IT equipment from designated areas within a branch site, including quiet rooms, ID scanners, and network printers. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, accurate documentation, and effective communication with the project team. Engineers must be prepared to work in active, decommissioned, or construction environments and ensure all equipment is properly packed and logged for removal.

Our client is currently looking for a recruit to join their current team. Below are the job details for your reference:

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Location: 69 English Street, Carlisle
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Contract Duration: 01st November 2025
Roles and Responsibilities:
- De-install IT equipment from:
- 4x Quiet Rooms
- 1x ID Scanner
- 1x Network Printer
- Ensure all equipment is packed per position into designated storage boxes for removal.
- Wear full PPE at all times, especially on decommissioned or construction sites:
- Hard hat
- High-visibility jacket
- Steel-cap boots
- Goggles
- Gloves
- Nose mask
- Review and understand all documentation provided via email prior to the site visit.
- Carry and maintain a hard copy of the ‘Sign-off Sheet’ for onsite verification.
- Inform the project team upon arrival at the site and again upon completion of work (including out-of-hours tasks).
- Dispose of packaging materials onsite as directed by the customer.
- Adapt to site conditions, including those undergoing construction or not yet fully operational.
Other stuff we’re potentially looking for:
- Experience in IT hardware de-installation and onsite logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Physical capability to handle and move equipment safely.
- Commitment to health and safety standards, especially in high-risk environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
