Overview
We are seeking a Technical Supervisor / Manager to lead technical service delivery for a high-profile client contract in the aerospace sector, based in Broughton, Chester. This is a confidential opportunity with a global real estate and facilities management leader, offering a pivotal role in ensuring operational continuity, compliance, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for all site-based services.
  • Lead a team of in-house technicians, promoting self-delivery of services.
  • Oversee specialist subcontractors, ensuring full compliance with internal and client standards.
  • Provide hands-on technical support when required, including emergency response and cover.
Maintenance & Compliance
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet legislative and contractual requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Maintenance Excellence initiatives.
  • Manage planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks via CMMS platforms.
Operational & Financial Management
  • Support site leadership in budget management and cost control.
  • Prepare quotations and deliver small project works.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for service expansion.
Health, Safety & Environment
  • Ensure full EHS compliance across all technical operations.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and training records.
Skills & Experience
Essential
  • Proven experience in a technical supervisory or management role within FM or engineering.
  • Strong engineering background (electrical or mechanical bias preferred).
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with PPM, reactive maintenance, and work order systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable
  • Authorised Person (AP) status for Pressure Systems or Confined Spaces.
  • EHS qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, Concept).
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., BIFM, IET).
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • 07:30 – 16:30
  • Site-based in Broughton, Chester
