New contract job for a Technical Development and Test Lead - hybrid working - Inside IR35 paying £550 per day

You will be working for one of the UK's leading telecommunications companies - and you will be responsible for ensuring the bug free implementation of the End-to-End Automation process developed as per Low Level Designs. In addition, the Technical Lead will review all Project designs, review all documentation, and ensure conformity to the client's standards, review deployment processes and make any improvement recommendations. The Technical Lead will also assist in reviewing new stakeholder requests for automation and will work with external third party colleagues on Refinements (at an Epic level).

70% of your time will be writing and developing code using programming languages such as SQL, Groovy, Python, Java, and JavaScript. The remaining 30% of your time you will define and own the overall test strategy and approach for the project. You will develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria. You will execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing as required. Validate supplier deliverables against requirements and quality standards. Track, report, and manage defects through to resolution. Provide independent quality assurance and risk assessment to project stakeholders. Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and outcomes. Perform Live Implementations, Monitoring Automation in Live Trails. Conduct peer code reviews of the implemented use cases before test and deployment. Enhance existing automation use cases.

To be considered, your CV will evidence proven experience working as a Technical Development / Test Lead on large-scale projects. Your CV should evidence proficiency in Programming and Scripting: Use of programming languages such as SQL, Groovy, Python, Java, and JavaScript. Testing and Troubleshooting: Design, execute, monitor, and troubleshoot Automation Workflows. Collaboration: Work closely with wider Team - including developers and business stakeholders to identify automation requirements and ensure seamless integration. Documentation: Document automation procedures and maintain detailed records of automation processes. You should be able to evidence 5+ years of experience in Automation Development and experience with Testing in Automation/Software Development, Monitoring and ITSM Tools would be ideal. Telecoms Industry experience would be a huge advantage.
