Hays have partnered with a leading financial services organisation to appoint an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support across a complex resilience tooling programme of work. If you're an experienced Technical Business Analyst, with strong experience in operational resilience, and demonstrated success in bridging the gap between technical engineering teams and the business, then we want to hear from you!

Role: Technical Business Analyst (Resilience Tooling)
Length: 6 months + extension
Location: London
Hybrid: Yes, 3 days in-office
Rate: £600/day via Umbrella

Your new role and what you'll need to succeed

• Lead end‑to‑end business analysis for software delivery projects/programmes, capturing and translating complex requirements into clear functional and non‑functional specs that engineers, testers, and business stakeholders can act on.

• Map and model current and future‑state processes using Visio or Lucid, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and resilience vulnerabilities, and challenging the status quo to drive smarter, more robust solutions.

• Work closely with Engineering and Data teams to shape solution design, align scope and priorities, and convert requirements into actionable use cases and deliverables.

• Own requirements lifecycle management – tracking, refining, version‑controlling, and reporting progress throughout development, while supporting testing, go‑live, and adoption activities.

• Bring 10+ years’ hands‑on BA experience in software and operational resilience change, with strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to operate across complex, fast‑moving environments.

• Demonstrated experience in resilience tooling projects will be very highly regarded.
