Technical Accountant - SaaS

Your New Company

Lead the Technical Accounting function of a listed SaaS Company, providing expert guidance on complex and judgemental financial transactions. Collaborate closely with Regional Finance teams and other business functions (including M&A) to ensure accurate and consistent accounting treatment.

Your new role
  • Serve as the primary contact for regional finance teams and other business functions on IFRS accounting treatments.
  • Proactively engage with the business to interpret and address the accounting implications of M&A activity, complex arrangements, and non-routine transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional finance teams and other business functions to provide timely and accurate technical accounting guidance.
  • Develop, maintain, and embed accounting policies throughout the Group.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting papers documenting conclusions on complex accounting matters, ensuring accurate interpretation of accounting standards and associated guidance.
  • Ensure complex transactions and accounting judgements are documented in a clear, concise, and consistent manner.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure consistent application of accounting standards across the Group.
  • Interact with external auditors on the interpretation and accounting treatment of complex accounting matters, articulating the Group's interpretation and providing supporting evidence.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified accountant with 7+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Deep understanding of technical accounting developments, particularly in relation to IFRS.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and interact with senior executives and business functions.
  • Experience in a project-based company is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across the business.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to take on a variety of duties as required.
