Delegated Authority Claims Tech / Team leader – up to £60,000, homeworking, 3 x month in office

Your new job working as DA Claims tech/ team leader, will be working for an innovative and growing Independent Global Lloyd's Brokers who have been established for over 100 years. With offices based in the UK, USA and worldwide, your new Brokers pride themselves on understanding the importance of being client-focused and are growing in all areas, they have recently been named an employer of choice. Due to substantial growth within the DUA team, a permanent position for a DA Claims tech / team leader has arisen.

Your new role

As a Senior Claims Handler / team lead, the purpose of your role will be to provide a first-class service to all coverholders in all aspects of their insurance arrangements through operational capacity by ensuring efficient processes and practices are in place. Additionally, you will be assisting with the production and analysis of daily / weekly and monthly reports relating to KPI’s within the team. Some key responsibilities of your role will include the preparation and familiarisation with bordereaux collection and other files for effective presentation to Underwriters, dealing with claims payments and reviewing and assisting the team with claim payments for approval. You will be producing claims statistics and liaising with other teams to produce earned to incurred statistics. Your role will also include completing TT requisitions and liaising with the accounts department for the same, reviewing and assisting the team with claim payments for approval and developing and sustaining relationships with TPA and Underwriter relationships via monthly meetings. Alongside these responsibilities, you will be authorising the teams’ payments to third parties and carrying out complex reconciliations. Depending on your experience, your role will include managing the day to day running of the team, providing support to management and the training of team members where required.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have previous experience in a similar claims role within the London Market alongside a strong understanding of Delegated Authority contracts and claims systems (CLASS, ECF, IMR). You must pay excellent attention to detail and have the ability to work independently and possess strong communication and leadership skills. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic filing systems with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines under pressure.
