Teaching Assistant Job in Prenton
Hays Education is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Prenton.
This full-time role offers a chance to make a genuine impact by helping a child thrive both academically and socially through consistent, tailored support.
Role Overview:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Location: Prenton
- Start: ASAP
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused 1:1 support, adapting to the pupil’s individual needs.
- Use structured routines, visual aids, and sensory tools to aid learning and communication.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external specialists to support the pupil’s EHCP.
- Encourage independence and confidence in a nurturing environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with autism or additional needs is beneficial.
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
