Teaching Assistant Job in Prenton

Hays Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Prenton, known for its supportive staff and strong community ethos. As they prepare for the second half of the autumn term, they’re looking for a dedicated General Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team.
Your new role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with their learning and helping to create a positive, engaging classroom environment. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver whole-class support, small group interventions, and one-to-one assistance where needed.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils across the KS2 curriculum
Assisting with classroom routines, activities, and transitions
Delivering small group and one-to-one support
Helping manage behaviour and encourage positive interactions
Contributing to a calm, inclusive, and focused learning space
What you’ll need to succeed:
A Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally in KS2
A proactive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting all learners
