Year 4 Teaching Assistant – Wallasey – Start After Half Term

Your new company
Hays Education is working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Wallasey, known for its inclusive ethos and supportive staff team. As they gear up for the second half of the autumn term, they’re looking for a committed Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team.
Your new role
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in Year 4, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and stay engaged in their learning. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver targeted support, including small group interventions and one-to-one assistance, particularly for children with additional needs.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils’ learning across the Year 4 curriculum
Delivering small group and one-to-one interventions
Assisting with classroom routines and activities
Helping manage behaviour and promote positive relationships
Creating a calm, focused, and inclusive learning environment
What you’ll need to succeed:
Experience working in KS2, ideally in a Year 4 setting
Confidence supporting children with SEN or additional needs
A relevant qualification (Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistant)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, patient, and encouraging approach
