Job Title:Temporary SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Birkenhead
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Birkenhead on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful candidate will support children with special educational needs across the primary age range, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to children with SEN, both 1:1 and in small groups.
Assist in the delivery of engaging and accessible learning activities.
Support pupils’ emotional, social, and educational development.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
Help maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
Strong background in supporting children with SEN.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
No formal qualifications required – experience is key.
