Teaching Assistant Jobs, Wigan Primary Schools, September Start

Your new company

Hays Education are currently working with a number of fantastic primary schools in the Wigan area who are looking for Teaching Assistants to start in September. These roles are a mixture of full-time and part-time roles, covering various year groups depending on the school. These schools are looking for Level 2 and above in terms of qualifications and the job roles are a mixture of maternity cover, year-long contacts and permanent roles.

Your new role

In the job role as a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers across either KS1 or KS2 and be expected to provide additional support. You will be helping the teachers to monitor progress and focus on phonics, maths, reading and writing. The role is to support children in their learning and behavioural needs, and you will play a massive role in their development and educational success. There may also be elements of the job that require you to support SEN children.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role however it is not essential as it will depend on the school you are placed in.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate and will be working in this successful school where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience.

A dedicated consultant will always be on hand should you have any questions or concerns.
