They have a small, dedicated KS1 SEN class within their mainstream setting, providing tailored support for pupils with additional needs.

Your new role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team and support in a small class of KS1 pupils with Special Educational Needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning and interventions.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g., ASD, speech and language difficulties, or other learning challenges).
• Assist with classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development alongside their academic progress.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or primary school setting.
• Understanding of strategies to support pupils with additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
