Teaching Assistant Jobs in TA5 – Start September 2026
We are working closely with a number of friendly and supportive primary schools in the TA5 area who are looking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (TAs) for roles starting in September 2026.
These Teaching Assistant opportunities in TA5 offer flexibility, with full-time and part-time positions available, as well as a range of permanent and fixed-term contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity to join welcoming school communities and make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant in TA5, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support pupil progress
- Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) where required
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence
Roles are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 depending on your experience and preference.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desirable)
- Are passionate about supporting young learners
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are patient, adaptable and enthusiastic
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) – desirable but not essential
