Hays are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support learning across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 in schools located in the Shepton Mallet area. This is a long-term opportunity starting immediately, ideal for individuals passionate about education and looking to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

Your new role

You’ll be working alongside class teachers to support pupils’ learning, provide one-to-one or small group interventions, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Depending on your experience and interests, responsibilities may include:
•General classroom support
•SEN support and behaviour management
•Literacy and numeracy interventions
•Playground and lunchtime supervision

What you'll need to succeed

•Experience working with children in an educational setting
•A proactive and supportive approach to learning
•Strong communication and teamwork skills
•A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
•Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
