Hays Education is offering a part-time opportunity for a Level 2 or above qualified General Teaching Assistant at a primary school in Wallasey. We specialise in placing dedicated professionals in supportive school environments where their skills and care make a real impact.
Your new role:
As a General Teaching Assistant, you’ll support a Foundation 2 classroom, working closely with the class teacher to manage daily routines and learning activities. You’ll assist small groups of children with tasks, provide general classroom support, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment. You may also be asked to support children on a 1:1 basis when needed. This is a flexible and rewarding role where your contribution is valued every day.
What you'll need to succeed:
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A Level 2 qualification or above in childcare or education
- A proactive and supportive attitude
- Confidence working with children of varying abilities
- Strong communication skills and patience
- The ability to follow teacher direction and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere
