Hays Education is proud to be supporting a highly reputable secondary school in South Manchester, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from January or February 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an inclusive and forward-thinking school environment, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide classroom support to pupils and teachers across a range of subjects

• Offer 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions

• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment

• Support learners with additional needs to achieve their full potential

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams

• The position will run for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
  
  

  What you'll need to succeed

Experience supporting young people (school-based or similar)
A proactive, patient and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in education and helping young people succeed
