About the Role
On behalf of a school in Birmingham we are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils across Years 7–11. The role involves supporting children with physical disabilities, including those who use wheelchairs, and assisting them to fully access learning in the classroom. At times, personal care may be required.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver tailored 1:1 support in lessons.
- Assist with personal care needs sensitively and professionally.
- Encourage independence and confidence in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team.
- Help create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Understanding of physical disabilities and willingness to assist with personal care.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
