This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children in Nursery and Reception, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
Support children’s learning and development across the EYFS curriculum, with a focus on SEN support
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
Assist with daily routines, sensory play, and structured activities
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social interaction
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
Experience working with children in a primary school or early years setting
Confidence supporting children with SEN, including autism, speech and language needs, or developmental delays
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A caring, patient, and proactive approach
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Formal childcare qualifications are not essential – experience and attitude are key.
