Due to positive developments within our staff team we have the opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our amazing team at Quorn Hall School.

You will work with incredible pupils who have a wide range of Special Educational Needs including SEMH needs (social, emotional and mental health).

The successful candidate will be able to establish positive relationships with our pupils and use a range of strategies to promote engagement to learning. Our pupils are funny and bright. Our Teaching Assistants support pupils in all lessons including Cooking, Forest School, PE, Art, Life Skills and more!

Working as part of a highly trained and therapeutic staff team the successful candidate will be influential in having a positive impact upon the lives of children who have a range of needs, life experiences and personalities that make every day varied and interesting. Our Teaching Assistants acquire understanding in our wide range of therapeutic and evidence based strategies including sensory integration, speech and language and trauma informed practice.

Experience
The appointed candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a school or education.
Candidates should have an awareness and understanding of how pupils with SEMH needs learn and the level of support they require at school.

Working hours:
● Term time only
● Monday -Thursday 8.15am-4.30pm
● Friday 8.15am-3.15pm

The successful candidate will join the school working term time only for 5 days per week.
