Contract: Full time, long‑term role (minimum 6 weeks)

Role Overview

Hays Education is seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join the Mathematics Department at a respected independent day and boarding school in Nottingham. This long‑term position requires the successful candidate to teach GCSE Maths. Experience of teaching A Level Mathematics is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

GCSE and A Level – Delivering well‑structured and engaging lessons
Planning and Assessment – Preparing lessons and assessing in line with school expectations
Student Support – Helping students of varying abilities achieve strong outcomes
Behaviour and Safeguarding – Maintaining high standards in the classroom
Departmental Contribution – Supporting wider school initiatives

Candidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
Experience teaching GCSE Maths and A Level Maths (desirable but not essential)
Strong subject knowledge and commitment to academic excellence
Ability to inspire and motivate students in a high‑performing environment
Professional approach aligned with the values of an independent school
