Teacher of Maths - Secondary School Job - London - HAYS Education

Your new company

Hays Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in London to recruit a motivated and committed Teacher of Maths. This opportunity would suit both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners who are passionate about raising attainment and student confidence in mathematics.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Maths teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and structured Maths lessons
  • Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively
  • Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their potential
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Maths curriculum
  • The ability to challenge, motivate, and inspire learners
  • Effective behaviour management and organisational skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
