Temporary Opportunity Through Hays Education at a Central Leeds Primary.
September 2026 – December 2026
Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Leeds area to recruit a Teacher of Hybrid Provision for a temporary assignment commencing in September 2026 and running through to Christmas 2026, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate teacher to lead a specialist provision supporting a small group of pupils, predominantly from Early Years and Key Stage 1, with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading a dedicated provision that currently supports 11 pupils who access learning outside of the mainstream classroom for all or part of their school day.
Working closely with the school's SENCO and class teachers, you will plan and deliver highly personalised learning opportunities, interventions and activities that meet the individual needs of each pupil. You will create an engaging, nurturing and supportive learning environment that enables children to make progress academically, socially and emotionally.
The provision is supported by a team of experienced SEND Teaching Assistants, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality teaching and developing bespoke learning pathways for pupils.
The School
Our client is a forward-thinking and highly inclusive primary school with a strong commitment to supporting children with additional needs. The school benefits from a well-established SEND team and a culture of collaboration, ensuring that staff feel valued and supported in their roles.
In addition, the school is home to an autism resource provision, providing access to a wealth of SEND expertise and opportunities to collaborate with experienced professionals who are committed to sharing best practice and innovative approaches to inclusion.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Open to ECT’s with SEN Teaching experience
- Have experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly within EYFS and KS1.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of adaptive teaching and personalised learning.
- Be confident working collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff and external agencies.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be passionate about inclusion and committed to achieving the very best outcomes for every child.
- Be able to lead, inspire and support a team within a specialist provision.
What Hays Education Can Offer You
- Dedicated support from a specialist Hays Education consultant.
- Weekly pay and competitive rates.
- Access to high-quality CPD and training opportunities.
- The opportunity to gain experience within a highly supportive and inclusive setting.
- Potential for the role to become permanent following the initial temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a passion for SEND to make a genuine impact within a specialist provision while benefiting from the support of a highly experienced wider SEND team.
