About the Role
Hays Education is working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Sheffield to recruit a passionate Teacher of Food Technology for a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students, develop their practical skills, and promote healthy living through engaging lessons in food preparation and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment in practical classrooms
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal potential
About You
We are looking for a dedicated teacher who:
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in secondary education
- Has experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
- Is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to student progress
- Can work effectively as part of a supportive department team
