Teacher of Food Technology – Sheffield

Contract: 12 months, full-time Start Date: January 2026 (or as soon as possible)
Salary: Competitive, in line with MPS/UPS

About the Role

Hays Education is working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Sheffield to recruit a passionate Teacher of Food Technology for a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students, develop their practical skills, and promote healthy living through engaging lessons in food preparation and nutrition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment in practical classrooms
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal potential
About You
We are looking for a dedicated teacher who:
  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in secondary education
  • Has experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to student progress
  • Can work effectively as part of a supportive department team
