Teacher of English job – West Leicestershire Secondary School
Start date: ASAP
Subject: English at KS3 & KS4
Timetable: Full Time
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school in West Leicestershire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to start in December to cover maternity leave. To be successful, you will be an English Teacher with recent experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cover the curriculum. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the department and participate in extracurricular activities.
Job Description
- Delivering engaging and creative English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
- Recent experience teaching English at secondary school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
