Millais is a secondary 11-16 girls’ comprehensive school in which the students are eager to learn and expect to be challenged in all areas of the curriculum. We are looking forward to welcoming boys in September 2026 for the first intake in year 7.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, talented and dynamic teacher of English to join our successful team on initially a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year 2026, with the potential for permanent employment.

This post will provide an excellent foundation for career progression within a supportive and stimulating professional environment. Applications from Early Careers Teachers looking for their first post would be very welcome.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
• Excellent teaching skills
• Self-motivation and potential for further promotion
• High level organisational and ICT skills
• Effective communication skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
