Your new company

Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Wirral, to recruit a passionate and skilled Teacher of Design Technology, specialising in Resistant Materials/Product Design.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident DT teacher to join a supportive department and make an immediate impact.

Your new role

You will be teaching DT across KS3 and KS4, specifically in product design and resistant materials. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a strong emphasis on practical work and workshop safety.

This is a full-time position until at least October half term, with the possibility to apply for a longer term post.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Resistant Materials or Product Design
  • Experience using workshop equipment including band saws and other machinery
  • Strong classroom management and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
