Hays Education is working in partnership with a high‑performing secondary school in London to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Business & Economics. This role offers an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who are passionate about developing students’ understanding of business, finance, and economic principles.
The successful candidate will deliver Business Studies and/or Economics at KS4 and KS5, depending on experience and specialism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies and Economics lessons
  • Teach at KS4 and KS5 (subject allocation dependent on experience)
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A‑level examinations
  • Track, assess, and support student progress
  • Promote real‑world understanding of business and economic concepts
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and assessment policies

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies and/or Economics
  • The ability to inspire students and make complex concepts accessible
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to raising attainment and student wellbeing
  • ECTs are welcome and will be fully supported
