Teacher for Children with SEND, Wirral
Hays are proud to be partnering with The Oldershaw School, an 11-16 co-educational comprehensive secondary school situated in the borough of Wirral, which is an easy commute from Liverpool and Chester. We have a proud history of a hundred years of success, and we believe in the very highest standards and expectations to provide a rich and challenging education for each and every student and have very recently been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
We are committed to supporting our staff and can offer a generous Pension Scheme, Death in Service Benefits, Employee Assistance Programme, Occupational Health, Free Parking and a Bike to Work Scheme.
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, innovative and highly motivated teacher primarily for students with SEND. The successful candidate will join a passionate and experienced team, who consistently drive our school vision and values. We have a large resource base onsite for students with a range of additional needs; the base allows students with MLD to be able to access the curriculum and receive a meaningful and personalised education whilst integrating within a mainstream setting.
Students are taught by specialist staff with the support of Teaching Assistants. Students do also access mainstream lessons in the main school where it is appropriate for them to do so.
If you believe that you could contribute to our team, we would like to hear from you.
Further details and an application pack can be obtained from the school’s website. Please apply using the school’s application form and submit it to HR@oldershaw.wirral.sch.uk together with a covering letter and CV supporting your application.
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. The school is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The school is an Equal Opportunities Employer and positively welcomes applications from all people regardless of their sex, creed, marital status, race, age, disability, sexual orientation.
