Tax Director to play a key leadership role in shaping and developing the tax function

With a reputation built on long-standing relationships, technical expertise, and a pragmatic approach, the firm is continuing to grow and evolve its advisory offering. As part of this growth, they are seeking a Tax Director to play a key leadership role in shaping and developing the tax function.
Your new role
As Tax Director, you will be a senior leader within the practice, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality tax services while supporting the strategic direction and growth of the firm. You will work closely with partners and clients, acting as a trusted adviser on complex tax matters.
- Leading the tax function, ensuring the delivery of both compliance and advisory services to the highest standard
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals
- Providing strategic tax planning advice across corporate, personal, and business tax matters
- Supporting the continued development of the firm’s advisory offering
- Identifying and driving business development opportunities, including cross-selling services
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Leading, mentoring, and developing members of the tax team
- Contributing to the overall strategic direction of the firm as part of the leadership team
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be a commercially minded and technically strong tax professional with proven leadership experience and a passion for client service.
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Significant experience at Senior Manager or Director level within a practice environment
- Strong technical expertise across corporate and/or personal tax
- Proven ability to deliver high-level advisory work
- Experience managing and developing client relationships
- A track record of supporting business development and firm growth
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
