Lancaster Primary School Seeking Teaching Assistant

Your new Primary school situated in Austwick, Lancaster is a welcoming commuity based Primary school with a fantastic reputation locally are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support their team. This is a small Primary school with two classes and have a very welcoming staff team.

Your new role

Your new role as a General Teaching Assistant within this school will be to cover the two classes. Class 1 is Nursery - Year 2 and class 2 is Year 3 - Year 6. Your role here will be to support both class teachers as well as taking small intervention groups with a view to increasing attainment. This role is due to commence as soon as possible and will operate on an ongoing temporary basis with there being an opportunity for this role to be made permanent for the right person. Though flexible, the ideal hours for this role would be Tuesday 09:00 - 15:00, Wednesday 09:00 - 15:00, Thursday 09:00 - 13:00 and Friday 12:00-15:00. There is a great deal of flexibility around these hours so if the role suits you, but the hours do not please still apply.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful for this position, you must have a history of supporting Primary aged pupils in a similar setting previously. Intervention experience is desirable, as is a history of supporting pupils with SEN needs. You must be willing to hit the ground running, work well as part of a team as well as being committed to becoming part of the school's wider community.
