General Teaching Assistant – KS1 & KS2 (Wakefield)

Start Date: Monday 6th October
Duration: Until Christmas (with potential to extend)
Role Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Are you a passionate and flexible Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a vibrant school setting?
We are currently seeking a General Teaching Assistant to support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in Wakefield.

This role involves working in various classes throughout the day, providing essential support to both pupils and teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2.
  • Provide support to pupils with varying needs.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Adapt to different classroom settings and teaching styles.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a supportive school environment with the possibility of a longer-term placement.
