Syndicate Credit Controller

Your new company

We're working with a fast-growing international insurance organisation that operates across London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the US. They’re expanding their credit control function and looking to hire a Syndicate Credit Controller to join their London team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Lloyd’s market experience who’s ready to take ownership of aged debt management and work closely with global teams.

Your new role

As the Syndicate Credit Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing aged debt across multiple entities, including supporting the financial operations of a newly launched Lloyd’s branch in Singapore. You’ll report directly to the Credit Control Manager and collaborate with colleagues across international offices to drive collections, maintain broker relationships, and support underwriting teams.

This is a hands-on role with real visibility across the business, offering the chance to work with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and reduce aged debt across syndicate entities
  • Administer cash receipts and credit control for the new Singapore branch
  • Liaise with brokers and internal teams to resolve outstanding balances
  • Attend regular meetings with underwriting teams and arrange broker reviews
  • Support the Credit Control Manager with ad hoc reporting and operational tasks
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven credit control experience, ideally within the Lloyd’s or insurance market
  • Strong understanding of aged debt reporting and reconciliation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across international teams
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills and experience with Xchanging
You’ll be a proactive, self-motivated team player who’s comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What you'll get in return

  • Join a dynamic and expanding international organisation
  • Work closely with global teams and gain cross-border experience
  • Supportive culture that values professional development and progression
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Real opportunity to make an impact and grow within the business
