Support worker Sollihull Temp £12.82 - £14

Ongoing support workers are needed across Solihull to work in adult’s settings. Hours are flexible to work around you and include day and night shifts.

Your new role

Your main role as a support worker will be ensuring the safety and comfort of service users. You will predominantly be working within adults’ homes. Therefore, as well as carrying out tasks to ensure the smooth running of the home, you should also encourage service users to have confidence and high self-esteem, but most importantly for them to have fun.

This role is 30 hours a week and is Monday to Friday with weekends free as well as Bank holidays.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience with moving and handling and hoist training

At least 6 months experience in the last 2 years in similar settings

Level 2 In health and social care or adults – desirable

Experience and willingness to get involved and be a proactive member of the team, taking part in activities

Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour

Be passionate about supporting adults and giving them the best chances

Excellent communication both with service users and staff
