Hays Education is recruiting passionate and committed Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Birmingham. These roles are ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people aged 11–16 and want to make a real difference in their education journey.

As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant, you will:

-Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and resilience
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

- Experience working with young people (ideally in a secondary school setting)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people’s development
