Supply Teacher with QTS - Bristol

About the role

Hays Education is recruiting Qualified Secondary Teachers (QTS) for supply roles across Bristol and the surrounding areas. We work with a wide network of secondary schools who regularly require teachers for day‑to‑day supply, short‑term cover, and long‑term teaching roles.
Whether you are looking for work immediately, planning ahead for the Summer Term, or considering your options for the new academic year, we would love to support you in finding the right role.

What you'll be doing

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will:
  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Maintain a positive, productive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Support students’ learning and progress
  • Adapt confidently to different school settings and student groups. Assignments may vary between day‑to‑day, block placements, and long‑term roles depending on your availability and preferences.


What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school
  • Strong behaviour management and confident classroom presence
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
  • A flexible, positive attitude towards varied placements
  • ECTs are welcome to apply
