Are you a qualified Secondary Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities in the Tiverton area?

Hays Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Mid Devon, recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to support schools on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis.

Whether you're an experienced teacher seeking greater flexibility, an ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience, or a teacher returning to the profession, we have opportunities to suit your availability and career goals.

The Role
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will:
  • Deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Adapt confidently to different school settings and year groups
  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Support pupils in achieving their full potential
We work with schools across Tiverton and the surrounding Mid Devon area, offering a variety of placements to fit around your schedule.

What You'll Need
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A flexible, reliable and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
