Supply Chain Manager

Duration: 12 months with possibility of an extension

On-site Expectations:
  • Hybrid working
  • On-site at least once a month
  • Bedford visits are required on an ad-hoc basis.

Accountabilities:
• Ensure supply leveraging the service level agreements and adhere to a cost-effective European distribution strategy.
• Execute with a strong focus on cold chain management and timely and correct transportation of shipments.
• Establish and maintain an external and internal network enabling the EU Supply Chain to advance on priorities and key initiatives.
• Apply continuous improvement principles while designing, implementing and sustaining distribution solutions with a focus on the cold chain
• Implement a best-in-class solution for supply chain partner management.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure supply, meet service levels and stay within budget in a GDP compliant way.
• Support the implementation of cold chain solutions in the supply chain
• Perform regular performance and business reviews with supply chain partners on current business, escalations, reporting and improvements.
• Support internal stakeholders in escalating issues with supply chain partners by maintaining excellent relationships with third parties at an appropriate management level.
• Maintain and manage agreements with supply chain partners.
• Showcase continuous improvement mindset to identify savings and other efficiency opportunities and drive results to the finish line while improving quality, performance and GDP compliance.
• Assess the implications of emerging trends or country legislation changes that may affect current distribution solutions and cold chain practices.
• Build internal networks within affiliates and corporate functions and participate in projects to achieve results in line with EU Supply Chain priorities and key initiatives.
• Plan, build and manage distribution lanes for the region/countries
• Deliver on project assigned responsibilities.

Authority:
• Works under minimal direction. Work is guided by operational and project objectives.
• Manages multiple assignments and processes independently and concurrently.
• Project authority is defined in the project scope. Position has decision authority within budget, timeline and resource constraints.

• Well managed relationship with European supply chain partners.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
• Master's degree or equivalent related to Supply Chain/Logistics, Change Management or Industrial Engineering
• 5+ years experience in the logistics industry, in the role of supplier management
• Supply chain, cold chain and warehousing expertise
• Solid experience in project management across departments and geographies
• Experience managing suppliers and improving processes
• Fluent in English, both in verbal and written communication
• Strong analytical skills (incl. MS Excel) and the ability to distil insights.
Preferred Requirements
• GMP and GDP knowledge
• Knowledge of Operational Excellence tools, six sigma, FMEA.
• Experience SAP
• Experience setting up service level agreements
• Good technical writing skills
• Project Management certification
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
